You can miss out on a lot of free agents in a weeks time.

It would be wild if Portland strings Miami along and then trades him elsewhere. Ultimately Portland has to do what’s best for the organization.

I’m sure they will try and work with Damian Lillard in getting him to a spot he likes, but if Miami doesn’t try to deal in good faith with them they don’t have to do anything. Dude is still under contract for a few years.
