Nets really should be operating like a rebuilding/bad team...not necessarily tank but you cant think or make decisions based on what that does for the picks owed to the Rockets...them shits are gone, make moves to lay the foundation for a successful future
Only goal right now should be stocking up the asset base imo
You have picks coming in from Phoenix....you owe picks to Houston but two of those are swaps so you still have picks those years
Should've moved Bridges over the summer but between him, Cam Johnson and DFS you can probably walk away with 3-6 first round picks and maybe even a young player
You can keep Claxton just dont overpay but honestly I would be trying to trade him too...not a big market for center's right now though so I would understand holding on to him if you can't get a decent 1st back
You sitting real nice with future picks at that point
Fire Jacque Vaughn
Simmons is a 40 million dollar expiring next season
Keep adding picks by taking on bad money, develop players, take some gambles and fliers
You set up to either draft some really good players or outbid anyone when a real franchise player becomes available....even late picks are valuable, teams like the unknown...The Rockets got Whitmore, Sengun and Tari all late in the draft
Its important yo have has many bites at the apple as possible
