The entire crux of my argument is maximizing the return for bridges and trading him before:

1. His value bottoms out after peaking in the summer

2. Before you pay him around $160 mil

It’s just smart asset management

How does trading bridges = tank?

The nets are the fucking 11th seed.

Why would you keep Bridges to remain bad/mediocre at best and pay him a lot or trade him for players not on expirings and young players?

You don’t want as much flexibility as you can after the rockets taking your picks with him being your best asset?

Haslem also has better career averages lol

Haslem leads miami in every all time category

Varejao holds no records for the cavs

I don't fuck with the Heat at all but even I applaud them for retiring his number.

Just a ton of shit he has done for them that's not going to show up in record books/stat sheets. Well deserved imo

Because Jersey retirements are at the discretion of the team

Also Haslem’s jersey being retired would be for diff reasons and under different parameters than a Carmelo jersey retirement

Haslem’s isn’t solely based on performance and accolades like Carmelo’s would be (why would you judge both the same?)

Haslem’s impact and legacy surpasses Carmelo’s on the nuggets and Knicks

And if this is the nuggets shit again, a far better player than Carmelo wears his number so that shit is out

Most of my talks with 5th was me trying to get him to understand where I’m coming from

He’s shown me he likes to troll and be willfully ignorant and stubborn when I talk so it’s not even fun to pass along perspective and knowledge anymore
