You don’t think JJJ can be a 3rd option?

The FIBA thing points to how much he can’t play C and rebound

I think the next step for him is taking less threes but operating mostly from the midrange and the block

Idk how much of his game is predicated on the team he’s playing for since it’s the only example

I do want him to go though. I also thought he shot better from 3 in his entire career

Stephen Jackson a clown but I've always been intrigued by the Kawhi/Spurs situation

Also I think its interesting that 3 best players the Spurs have hadn since the post Duncan/Manu/Parker era have all had issues with Pop/The Organization at some point....Kawhi, Aldridge and Dejounte Murray all had problems

Tony Parker low key a villain. Fucking teammates wives and calling niggas injuries out. And why was pop showing these brothers maps of Africa ?😅 God bless pop fr tho.

If Pascal can get his shot right...
"riight"

Question is do they want to max siakam on Barnes timeline or move him for parts. 😥
I'd try and move him get some pieces with shooting and spacing maybe backup bigs for size/rebounding. you have RJ and IQ who are both 23 with some playoff experience of their own so it's not like you're ridiculously far back. There's room for growth.

That might have been a little harsh, a 3rd option is probably where he's best suited but I don't think he should be viewed as this untouchable piece either

His 3pt attempts have actually been trending down....the most he ever took was 6.5 per game which was his sophomore year..5.5, 5.1, 4.5 and 4.9 this season

So much of his appeal around him as a prospect was this shot blocking big who can also stretch the floor....but he can't play center and he doesn't stretch the floor good enough either and he's really not even that efficient with 2pt% either

I think he's a good defender but if he can't play the 5 than your asking him to defend a lot on the perimeter and I don't know that means from him long term

Yeah I'm emotionally attached because really he's done nothing wrong all he does is work on his game and stay out of bullshit. But if I had to eye a destination it's Indiana right now. They've got some young bigs, a lights out shooter and some Canadian content as well.

Put him next to a real plodding big again and we wouldn’t be talking about him

I know you kinda know that already but put him with a two way wing who can guard up with that plodding C and JJJ is in paradise

I can’t hold this year against him

He playing next to biyombo lol

It does show that maybe he can’t carry in any capacity but that’s a small gripe imo because nobody was expecting anything besides weak #2 vibes anyways

I would move pascal just so Barnes can fully take the reins

It’s not even like you moving pascal too soon either

It’s year 3 of Barnes

He learned all he needed from SPICY P

Scottie can take the reins now. That's a Scottie problem tho. He's a team, share the ball, everyone eats guy.

He has shown he can switch off that mode in 2nd half/4th quarter and take over when he needs to though.

But yeah its just a matter of time for my man Pascal in Toronto. 😪

I’m sorry man

I understand the emotional investment

I think I might officially be out on Jarren Jackson Jr....and I when I say out I mean as viewing him as potential 2 or 3rd option

Like I get and understand how good he is defensively, and yes he is a very good defender.....but he is very underwhelming and leaves so much to be desired in every other aspect of his game.

I was disgusted with his performance in FIBA but I wanted to see how that carried over and if he elevated his game with Ja out

He still fouls like crazy, he's averages 5.5 rebounds per game(lowest since his sophomore year and he's never averaged more than 6.8), part of his appeal is supposed to be his ability to stretch the floor and he's shooting 32% and has only had 2 good shooting years in his career

This season with Ja missing time is highest usage rate of his career 27.5 and his PER is at 17.3

I was disappointed in him when Ja was out, I was expecting him to take the reigns and be the #1 but that ended up being Bane
