All your other points stand, lumping in the dunk contest is not needed.

U boys overrate the impact of the dunk contest for legit stars. Maybe B tier and C tier players can use the boost.

But Zion’s lacking in “brand/marketing/selling the league perspective” is all due to his laziness and his unprofessionalism and not bcos he has not done the Dunk contest, lol.

I’m not saying it’s strictly from the contest I’m just citing how much of a missed opportunity that was for him and Ja

Not to sell themselves but just to give the fans and league what they really wanted

It’s like if Steph never did a 3pt contest

Ja and Zion never doing it is a crime against basketball

They force fed him and the mid ass Pelicans. That’s karma for rigging the draft for the Pelicans. Maybe had he landed in NY with the Knicks like he should have he would have been the superstar he was intended to be.

Jaden Ivey needs to get out of Detroit asap, that kid is going flourish once he gets into a better situation
 
The Pistons to this new generation of fans are what teams like the Clippers, Nuggets and Grizzlies were to us back in the day.
