January still too soon in deciding if teams are buyers or sellers and especially with the play in. Using your Lavine example why can't they trade him before the deadline, they can trade this dude now if they wanted to

January 15th puts you at the 41-42 game mark though

That’s half the season vs trading for guys and then having it work in 28 games or so but I appreciate the back and forth

With Highsmith and Jaquez and possibly Jovic and Cain around I don’t see why it makes sense to give him a deal

I knew Strus wasn’t gonna be around last season so like him I would want to get something for him instead of letting him walk

He’s probably going to command like 16 mil a year

Not a bad idea and it will give the talking heads something to talk about and the casuals something to gravitate towards each month.

Maybe they have it the way it is due to book keeping though?

Waiting until there’s a month and a half left to make a deal never really sat well with me

Real talk, he's exactly what this franchise needed after being a clownshow the past couple of years.....old school no nonsense and commands respect but players fuck with his approach to the game because it's effective and he knows what he's talking about
