I know the Falcons are my squad Rivals but Watson pick them I still dont think they are any good with that roster.

If Watson wants to win, the Saints and Browns have the best rosters of the choices he has

The Falcons and Ryan have reportedly agreed on the terms of another restructure
Heading into the new league year, reports emerged that the Falcons had restructured Ryan’s contract again for the 2022 season. The reports stated that the team had converted $15 million in base salary and roster bonus to a signing bonus. They also reportedly added three void years to the deal to help spread the cap numbers.

This move reduced Ryan’s cap number by $12 million in 2022. However, it now means his dead money would be $55.5 million if he were released or traded. A report by The Athletic on March 15 indicated that the Falcons had not actually implemented this restructure. The deal had been agreed in principle with Ryan, but Atlanta was waiting before actually making the move. If that is the case, the dead money would be $43.5 million if the Falcons move him ahead of his roster bonus becoming guaranteed on March 19.

How does Ryan’s contract affect the Falcons’ salary cap?
All of the information above makes for complicated reading. If the Falcons move Ryan ahead of his roster bonus becoming guaranteed, it is a $43 million deal money charge. However, assuming he does remain on the roster, here is how things will reflect on the salary cap in 2022.

There is still an $8.75 million salary owed to Ryan. There would then be $9.3 million prorated from the original signing bonus, $2 million in prorated option bonus, and $16.6 million in prorated restructure bonus. All of that adds up to $36.66 million in cap number with a dead money charge of $55.525 million.

What options do the Falcons have with Ryan’s contract?
The Falcons’ options are very limited. Releasing or trading Ryan after the new restructure in place would leave a quarter of their 2022 cap taken up by his dead money. A post-June 1 trade or release would change the numbers slightly. Ryan would have a $27.9 million dead money charge in 2022. There would then be another $27.6 million in 2023.
