Bruh they chose Kendrick Perkins over James Harden. They could've kept them, owner is just cheap and they bought the old line of bigs > smalls.
I thought it was Ibaka over Harden? But if they knew he’d become what he became they find a way to keep all three.

Long article:

Why Kendrick Perkins' Contract Forced OKC Thunder to Trade James Harden

But the jist of it:

March 1st, 2011: Before he plays a single minute in a Thunder uniform, Perkins is signed to a 36-million dollar, 4-year extension.

A little foreshadowing—the Thunder lock up Perkins before they see how he fits with the team, simply because they know they can’t afford to lose an asset and receive nothing in return but cap space. They were committed, but it was to the idea of Perkins instead of what he actually was.

Yet what most people failed to realize during this trying, but not unforeseen, time is that Perkins' contract didn't just lay the groundwork for Harden to be dealt, it forced the Thunder's hand.

As Wojnarowski reported, Oklahoma City offered Harden a four-year extension "that would have paid him a base salary of $53 million to $54 million," making it at least $6 million shy of the $60 million max.

They coulda had KD, Russ, Serge, and Harden but they fucked it off cause they just had to pay Kendrick Perkins 9 mil a year. LLS. Only to see KD win 2 chips with a star backcourt, a defensive minded 4 and a warm body at the 5.

Dont ask me why but I was looking at that Kings team the last time they made the playoffs....for one, that roster was extra random and secondly I forgot that they got two games off the Spurs

Bonzi Wells
Brad Miller
Artest
Kevin Martin
Shareef Abdur Rahim
Mike Bibby
Kenny Thomas
Corliss Williamson

Imagine those being the names you have to think about the last time your team was in the post season

IIRC bonzi wells lead them in scoring too lol

MacMahon also said the Knicks and the two LA teams are the likely destinations for John Walll after he gets bought out

Reports are that Jalen Brunson is going back to the Mavs.

Which is good shit for me. I wanted Jalen on the Knicks, but not to the tune of 25-28Ms they were talking.

I hear hes back to the Mavs around 22-23 per. Which is still a bit much imo, but not horrible for them.

I like Jalen Brunson around 18 to 20. Maybe im undervaluing him. I def didnt like him around the 28 mark.

Hope the reports are right and we dont over pay.

Fucked up with how Reddish is out here looking but with the shit Tibs pulled on him last year after that trade. Reddish leaving the knicks would be a good thing for him.

When looking at players we don't all see the same thing cause I'm really not seeing what some of yall see in Chet Holmgren.
