Do you think Eason will be better Long term than sengun?

I think Eason is gonna be the rockets’ 3rd best player over Scoot and I don’t include Gordon in this future scenario

Honestly, yes....and I feel pretty confident about that

Right now these are the only guys I can say for sure are in our future plans

Jalen
Porter Jr
Jabari
Tari

As much as I like Sengun, defensively I don't think he can be a starting center on a real contender

I talked about this during Euroball but he's always out of position which causes him to pick up really bad fouls.......last night he had 5 fouls in 17 minutes.

He's still young and has a ton of upside but Tari is the prototypical player for the modern NBA

Sengun has a very high floor imo and he’s not a bad option to have

and yeah I agree while he’s a good C he’s not good enough to be starting on a contender but for right now

he’ll Atleast always be in the league a very long time because he’s very solid and skilled and only gonna get better

Hot take

Eason has more upside than Jalen Green only because of his size combined with the explosiveness and what he gives on D

it’s possible Eason never has the opportunity to be better than green though because the way the team is structured

I say all of this to say I like Eason and he was a great pickup because he plugs so many holes on this roster

can’t even think of a wing/frontcourt player that’s not undersized on your roster if you take him away

He's the perfect glue guy who can do a little bit of everything.....I don't think he can be the efficient iso scorer that Jalen is projected to be which is one of the hardest things to develop into but I love the versatility and how impacts the game just by being active. I'm excited to see him and Jabari play more together


I don't think Tate and KJ are undersized if their playing the 3....Jabari isn't undersized

Word I forgot about Jabari somehow in this and I didn’t consider KJ because of his trade lol okay now it sounds like a bad take I take it back

either way it’s a good pick
