Shoutout to the pelicans and Willie green

They are making great strides to being an organization that can maintain consistent success

Haven’t had a .500 season in years but they are getting there

The foundation is set

The core of CJ/Ingram/Zion is locked in long term and they will figure it out

As disappointing as this season has been I think they are still in really good shape...the CJ contract will be a problem sooner than later though

Come on man he’s only 31 his contact is going to go down from 35 to 33 to 30 mil over the years

Combine that with the 33 mil Zion and Ingram are going to make its going to make it a bit difficult to keep guys like hayes, Alvarado, herb Jones, and Naji Marshall (the knife!!) but you got guys like Dyson, EJ Liddell, and two picks in the upcoming draft to help maintain a lean and mean roster surrounding those guys

I think the pelicans can make some real noise next season

Word I get it but let’s make the bar a bit higher

It’s like year 6 and we clapping for a #1 pick being a middle of road fringe starter having a 14/6/6 night

“Maybe it’s me”
It's not just you

Edit: dude is a feel good story and all but I don't see any longevity with that shotput shot release he has and he he fouling his ass off too so he not even above average to end up being a defensive specialist

That reads like sarcasm idk if it’s honest or you trying to troll AP into a response
The latter

I was respectful when I was told to exit Rocket business but that can change👀

Well if these are issues that didn’t happen when he was commissioner then one could surmise..

Getting too far away from the original point

Owners need more power

It was way more wild shit happening under stern. Tf? The revisionist history is crazy.

It's just that social media wasn't a thing so everything that happened wasn't immediately going viral. But we can all come up with more wild stories that happened under sterns time as commissioner.

You think paying 3 players over 30 million dollars each and they barely ever play together is good for long term success?

They'll be making some tough decisions in the near future

I think as long as Zion is healthy the team has the ability to get to the 2nd round in the playoffs

Having 90 mil tied up into 3 guys is fine

You just can’t give out too much for the guys surrounding them

Thank goodness the majority of their team is in house draft picks so you can play with bird rights

And when I say long term I really mean 3 more seasons i probably should’ve said short term

I believe in Willie green

He might be the best coach they had since Monty Williams

The problem with the Pelicans is the fact they are a team built around an injury prone player.

They'll always have a shot at making noise when healthy, but Zion gon always have the possibility of getting injured.
