Dallas Mavericks GM Nico Harrison admitted that recent-signing Kemba Walker's knee was "not good at all" during a local radio appearance.

“It’s not good. It’s not good at all. But he’s rehabbed it and it’s the best he’s felt in the last two years so, we’ll see how long that lasts," said Harrison.

The Mavs signed Walker to a one-year, non-guaranteed deal earlier this week.

Walker has had three different surgeries on his left knee since 2015.

Harrison looked on the bright side of signing Walker.

“Well, it hasn’t been good for a few years ... the reality is, if you look at it, it’s not good, but that doesn’t mean he can’t play on it," added Harrison.

Head coach Billy Donovan gave the Chicago Bulls’ makeshift starting lineup the first quarter of the season.

He waited patiently, giving them every chance he could to produce. The coach watched as slow starts and big deficits became commonplace, with comeback efforts becoming an almost nightly requirement as a result. It wasn’t sustainable.

But the season was snaking on as Chicago’s starting lineup continued to be a net negative. The Bulls’ first string — Ayo Dosunmu, Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, Patrick Williams, and Nikola Vučević — has been their most used lineup. In 202 minutes, they compiled a net rating of minus-3.1. And at the quarter mark of the season, Donovan changed course.

He inserted Alex Caruso and Javonte Green into the starting five, replacing Dosunmu and Williams. The schedule offers no better trial run than the defending champions, and the Bulls had several moments against Golden State on Friday in which they looked better. Chicago fell 119-111 inside Chase Center but a significant rotation change suddenly adds intrigue to the Bulls’ quest to break their inconsistent ways.

Lol so you knowingly sign a player with a bad knee thinking he’s gonna contribute
