Back in the VC days some of the beat writers used to be relentless. One dude went all the way to Florida to interview VC's family and exposed some shit about his estranged brother who if I remember correctly was a real grimey nigga. It got nasty. They exposed some shit about bosh too.
After that the team pretty much started trading access for positive favor and now that newspaper media fell off the only way to really get on as sports writers in Toronto is to pretty much be working with/for the teams.

Damn that's wild as shit.

Since newspaper budgets been fell the fuck off a cliff sports writers ain't been shit. ESPN and Fox Sports have taken all the old school sport writers
