If anyone could be swindled, its Jordan. I can see it.

Obviously it sucks not getting a top 2 pick but it is what it is and have to keep it moving

Probably the next best thing is having an incompetent franchise like Charlotte and a franchise where the the star player has them by the balls to improve picking ahead of you

Dumb and desperate at least gives you a chance to fleece

Kupchac already talking that were able to pick off positions and not talent shit already. Its a good possibility that yall in there

You never really know in these situations, could just be trying to drive up the asking price and see what other teams are trying to do

I'd love to see it happen though
Facts. But counterpoint:

Randle, IQ, and Mitch plus an unprotected 1st next season, and a protected 1st the following season for the #2 pick

Scoop coming to the garden

Never thought I'd say it, but shout out to Howard Eskin straight up asking Morey at that press conference

" Having not gotten past the second round... what do you tell ownership, after you let go of the coach, as to why YOU should keep your job?"

Eskin might be King Asshole in a city FULL of asshole sports media personalities.....but goddamn if he ain't on the $$$ with that one.

I was listening to Fat Boy Windhorst podcast and he was with Wembanyama on draft night

Could be wrong but it sounds like he really didn't want to come to Houston mainly because of the possible James Haden return but also having fairly recent high profile lottery picks(same thing with Detroit)

Dude doesn't want to be a cog in the machine, he wants to be the machine and focal point with no ambiguity
