Game tonight/today is just so interesting on a bunch of levels.
Saw info on Reddit about how all three times Inter have won the European Cup it was busting Madrid, Benfica and Bayerns attempts to win a treble.
Then add in how City have had relatively slight troubles with teams that play two strikers and then a back three as well. Also Simone Inzaghi has been pretty good with Inter in cup competitions since he took over. Inter can look at Uniteds performance last week and know they have a better team to pressure City and hit them/take advantage in front of goal unlike United.
On the other hand
City were probably just playing with their food last week and this is obviously the one trophy they care about the most. They've deserved to win this for several seasons now (pains me so much to say that as a United supporter) and most importantly,
Pep seems to have learned from his mistakes the last couple of seasons---stop tinkering with your squad ---especially for this cup competition.
But I hear Sheikh Mansour will be in attendance for the first time in 11 years.
How perfect would it be if maybe the game is tied going into the final minutes and Edin Dzeko gets in the box to score the winning goal and send Sheikh Mansour home without seeing City win the trophy!:lol10:
