ROFL @ niggas breakfast “Damn I knew we was really that good.. WE WAS CHEATIN…”

Not that it really matters but
In 2009, the Broncos did indeed start 6-0 only to close out the season on a 2-8 skid and miss the playoffs. However, Denver didn’t play the Niners in London until the 2010 season. The Broncos were 2-5 heading into that Niners game.

So, Williams framing the Niners game as the turning point wouldn’t match the timeline because the scandal happened a year after the 2009 collapse. Brandon Marshall, who was with Denver for the 2009 season but not 2010, didn’t appear to catch Williams’ mistake either. Williams was mixing up his seasons.

But yet that salami and pickles looking MF Rhule look like he getting a third year
He’s gonna be gone 4 or 5 games in…panthers ain’t doing shit for another 2 to 3 years. Gotta do something so the fans don’t revolt. It’s smart cause if you fire him now..then there is an expectation for a rebuild and the rebuild to yield results in 2 to 3 years. Expectations too high..

So you keep rhule..knowing we are gonna suck, make some gains through the draft, of course we still are gonna suck because it’s gonna be a young line and there isn’t a QB prospect worth it right now.

So let rhule go into the season, suck..let fans get upset. Then appease them by firing rhule before mid season. Leaving enough games for a plucky young team to show promise but the fans expect them to lose. Now you are heading into year 2. With a new coach that fans aren’t expecting to win just be better.

That allows for your investments by year 3 to show promise and fans think you are on the right track.

NFL teams sell one of two things..winning or hope, some teams are even good with just selling hope year after year, like the browns. Panthers are in the mode of selling hope cause they can’t sell winning

Just ranting and raving in the Carson Wentz comeuppance. Buddy’s ceiling ain’t high but he’s given longer leashes not afford most other QBs. Like I said I’m ranting but something I noticed with him in particular. Open to be wrong that still Fuck Carson Wentz.

What long leash was he on? He had 113 TD's to 50 INT's, and 1 MVP-ish season in Philly. They drafted his replacement in year 4.

If he was black people would be saying he got screwed and was on a short leash, and didn't get a fair shot.

A lifelong assistant, who never got looks year after year in the coaching carousel like Culley felt it was now or never.

He bet on himself did an admirable job given the situation. It was rigged, but maybe he can parlay that into another Hc job. Probably not, but for him it beats being the lifelong assistant with HC aspirations that never got a look at all.

The question is after the culley situation will another black try to take that houston job? I know flores is rumored to be the favorite candidate but risk another chance on a possible 2 year stint if it doesn't work out? I don't trust the ownership

Long leash as in remaining a starter and being rewarded with starting jobs when you’ve been injured and outplayed by backups every year since being drafted. Ain’t no way Lamar Jackson remains a starter if he didn’t make any improvements to his game. Can be a screw job if the player ain’t available to be screwed. First it was no talent in Philly then it was Doug’s play calling now it’s now talent in Indy then it’ll be Frank Reich’s play calling.

He's a fairly young 2nd overall pick that showed promise, and has put up good numbers. He's gonna get opportunities.

And It's BEEN an issue of no talent at WR for him for a long time. When was the last year he was throwing to a decent group of receivers? He's had to deal with only having TE's.

This season he was throwing to who? Michael Pittman, Zach Pascal, and washed up TY Hilton?

Last year his top 3 WR's were Travis Fulgham, Greg Ward, and Reagor.

The Year before it was Alshon Jeffery, Agholor, and Ward.

Year before it was Jeffery, Agholor, and Jordan Matthews.

Why would you think he wouldn't get another starting job after Philly? Like I said 113 TD's 50 INT. Those are solid numbers, and add in he's had no WR's.

Winston was 121 TD and 88 INT in Tampa throwing to Evans, Godwin, and D Jax. And NO brought him in to take over for Brees.

If you was talking about Daniel Jones then you would have a point because he don’t flash at all.

You really acting like every year Carson was bad in Philly

He was 27TDs-7INTs this year and you going in like he was 16TDs-13INTs

Carson had a solid year with subpar talent at WR. His Only real badyear was last year.

Exactly. I don't get why people think that's a long leash.

In fact... we may need to re-visit some stuff to see if it's really valid. Are black QB's really still on a short leash?

He wasn't outplayed by backups every year. In 2019 he was playing with practice squad players and still threw for over 4000yds with no WR going over 500yds

He was really only bad in 2020. People blame Howie drafting Hurts got into his head or the dirty hit by Clowney did more than we thought. Who knows what it was but he hasn't always been bad and Howie never gave him legit weapons at WR
