What does this mean? Okay, this one is a lot more complex. The setup zone is the area 10-25 yards from the spot of a kickoff, specifically by the return team. Now the return team can have no more than nine players inside the setup zone when an onside kick is attempted. This rule is directly designed to increase the chance a kicking team has of recovering the ball.
