2021 NFL Offseason Thread

Ya boy been banned for the last 2 months...

I'll be back later to drop my NY Jets draft recap

iight. I kno u niggas been waiting. Here it is. Marc123's 2021 NYJ draft recap...

1 2 (2) Zach Wilson - I pray this kid is good. I'm not as sold on this kid as all the talkin heads on TV. Sure the kid has talent, throws a pretty ball n passes the eye test. But he played at byu. Byu lol smh. Jets coaches better ease him in. Defense, run gm n o line gotta lead the way. Kid better not throw more than 21 passes per gm.

1 14 (14) Alijah Vera-Tucker. A guard in the 1st rd?! This dude better be Quinton nelson/zack martin and better make atleast 8 str8 pro bowls.

2 2 (34) Elijah Moore- I love this pick. Get old ass crowder tf outta here. Start this kid week 1. He has the potential to be a star and the 4th best wr outta this draft.

At this point in the 2nd rd I wanted us to trade up for Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah. I think this kid is gonna be a star and our LB group is weak af. But, nope.

4 2 (107) Michael Carter - solid RB. Has speed and broke alotta tackles. But this is the NFL not the acc. I rather we signed FA RB jamaal Williams to be that lead, bell cow back to help zach. Carter might jus end up bein a decent speed/3rd down back

5 2 (146) Jamien Sherwood - safety moving to LB. S/O to Marc Barron. I hope he works out.

5 10 (154) Michael Carter - slot cb.

5 31 (175) Jason Pinnock - outside cb. I watched this kid play at Pitt. He might be legit. Mid rd gem potential

6 2 (186) Hamsah Nasirildeen - another saftey moving to LB. This kid has talent tho. Very hi ceiling. Could grow into a solid starting cover LB.

6 16 (200) Brandin Echols - another cb. Prolly a practice squad player.

6 23 (207) Jonathan Marshall - DT, has talent. Best case scenario, he is a practice squad player that turns into a decent back up DT.

notable UDFA's...

TE Kenny Yeboah. I'm shocked he wasnt drafted. He could grow into a solid starting TE
DE Hamilcar Rashed Jr. Might grow into a situational pass rusher.
ILB Milo Eifler. Solid LB. Might be a decent back up. Has talent tho, looks the part.
OL Tristen Hoge. Played tackle at byu w Wilson. Could be a decent/ back up guard.

Overall solid draft. Obviously alot falls on zach. I jus hope they dont bring him in n expect him to be the savior. Slow and steady wins the race....

If everything falls in place we should be in the hunt for that 7th AFC playoff spot.

Steve Young went to byu and he turned out pretty good, but I do hope wilson has the goods.

I like the tucker pick. The left side should be solidified now.

Moore was a steal. We're getting Young in the wr room.

Carter I like. Hopefully he can be rb 1

Rob knows defense. So I hope all those picks he on that side of the ball he can coach em up and turn them into something. I have high hopes for Kenny. We've been hurting at the te spot for a while.

I'm optimistic for this season. I just want to see competitiveness and hunger this year.
