Lmao.

EVERY PLAYER needs a great second option. You new to this?

Giannis would be the second option in the equation, he ain't the first.

Now, prime Lebron or Luka or Harden the team Giannis got right now and they would've been to the finals already.

Naw.

but you got it

You give 2008 Lebron James this team right now and he's winning a ring. Give Harden this team right now and he's winning. Give Luka this team right now and he's going to the Finals. Give Curry this team right now, he's going to the Finals.

Giannis don't have any basketball skills that translate into being a number option. He can't shoot, he can't take his man off the dribble in half court, he can't run an offense, he can't post up...

He just big and extremely athletic and he's able to go coast to coast and dunk on your head.

Bruh what are you talking about... did you watch Rockets bball, have you watched Giannis play other than highlights of him dunking?

Giannis is essentially a modern day Shaq so no he wouldn't be the 2nd option.

In the 2000-2001 playoffs, Shaq put up 30 pts 15 a game. In the Finals he put up 38 and 16.

Shaq didn't just beat up on everybody during the regular season, then beat up on scrubby lower seeds and then finally play a good a team and look lost.

If Giannis played with a star perimeter player like James Harden or Luka, Giannis would be the second option and nobody would expect him to lead the offense. Shit, when it's late in the 4th quarter and his team need a bucket, they already give it to Middleton because they know Giannis can't score in the half-court.

I did watch Rockets basketball and James Harden got further than Giannis ever did. James Harden loss to the Warriors, one of the greatest teams of all time. Giannis loss to the fucking Miami Heat, who were playing an undrafted White boy that just ran around and shot 3s. An old ass European point guard that nobody remembers his prime with the Suns besides die hard NBA fans. Jimmy Bulter. A rookie White boy that cooked everybody out of no-where. Crowder.

But y'all gonna tell me James Harden is gonna lose to the Miami Heat last year with the Bucks roster?

James Harden was out here dropping 36 points a game with no center and a Russell Westbrook that forgot how to shoot. James Harden was out here dropping 35 a game, with old man CP3, old man Eric Gordon. James Harden actually carried motherfuckers. Luka is carrying motherfuckers. Lebron James carried motherfuckers.

Giannis out here with dudes in their prime like Khris Middleton taking Ls to a team composed of undrafted players and hasbeens when he was favored.

You can't be big as fuck dropping 30 15 6 on motherfuckers then get to the playoffs and you getting bounced every year cause you can't do shit in the halfcourt.

You seen the Rockets teams other playoff years. What was always their downfall, wasn't it Harden choking? Its team ball too, ppl gotta step up Khris didn't tonight.

Harden never choked outside a bad Spurs series - even Kobe had one of those..

Playing with the likes of PJ Tucker - Ariza - Covington - etc etc all shooting less than 35% from 3 in playoffs sucks

Ariza went 0-13 or something the game the rockets missed 27 3s against GS

Nah that nigga had a couple choke games over his career. Pretty sure that same Ariza game you talking about he stiffed too. It happens. But I agree with @ZMaKEa that harden would have done better in the playoffs with the same roster Giannis has had the last couple seasons.

He shot 2 of 11 and 0 of 3 from deep scoring just 14 points in the final game versus the Warriors in 2015, then came that Spurs game, the 2018 game, taking 29 shots to get 32 points and being 2 of 13 from 3, in 2020 game 7, his 17 point drop on 4 of 15 from the field and 1 of 9 from the perimeter.

And that's why I said its team ball too, can't fault Giannis alone when he put in the work in the first game. In the past he's had some bad games and injuries, but its still team ball.

I started thinking about that too, Harden a way better shooter and can get to the rack in a variety of ways... so I may have to concede he may have been able to take them further... but history is against him
