Ok I'll explain it.

Zo at the trade deadline barely had any good trade offers or any at all. Ironically the only trade offer he had was the one we just did.

For a sign and trade to work, the player and his agent has to agree to the team to begin with, so no matter what, when Zo didn't want to be here AND chosen the team he wanted, at that point the Pelicans got back whatever they could to make it work because the number one priority was getting off his potential contract.

Our number goal is to remain flexible and financially responsible as possible. Signing Zo to a long term deal was not in play because he wants to prove he is a PG, now he gets to do that in Chicago. Wish him the best.
just let the jokes fly b

If you dont make any big splash moves in the first 2 hrs of FA, then your season is doomed

But here’s the thing with the Pelicans and being stuck in two directions

Your number one goal is keeping Zion happy enough not to leave

I said this a wild back.

The Spurs after Duncan and Kawhi been a poverty franchise

We made it to the playoffs more times (Kawhi's injury season and the season after) than the Knicks during that same time period though. But you're not a basketball fan so I don't expect you to know that shit.......

I agree with giving him less money. I can kinda understand the 3 years because he is gonna miss most of this season.

I also understand taking a flyer on the guy for the cheap but like you stated 7 a year for a guy who has been Injured the last two straight years and hasn't proven to be a true NBA player is silly.

The GM and assistant GM isn't people you know besides Barry though. RC Buford hasn't been the GM the last 2 and half seasons, so it isn't being washed as it is
Being bad. SMH
You seen the deal Alex Len got? That was what Collins shoulda got

or at most a 3 year 12mil deal to I guess bank on his potential when being healthy

Im still not mad at the Knicks move.

Basically run it back + Fournier.

What else could the Knicks have done?

Only issue I have is they overpaid rose
