Shai is so fun to watch man.

Hopefully he gets traded out of OKC soon but I doubt that happens since they just gave him a 5 year max, I just don't see the point of him on this team....I'm sure he want to compete and trying to establish himself in the league instead of being shutdown because he's helping them win games

I might be in the minority and this more projecting than anything but I dont think OKC/Presti has done a good job with their rebuild so mainly because they have such a poor draft record

I know its early in their process and they just made the playoffs but they have zero direction and identity as a franchise....just accumulate picks and rehabilitate players and try to flip them

They gave SGA a 5 year max and cant even say if they are building around him or not

After all the wheeling and dealing they've done the past 3 years....as an OKC fan how excited would you really be about Poku, Lu Dort, Bazely and Josh Giddey?.......Bazely and Dort are good role players, Giddey cant do anything but pass and Poku is a project who gets playing time because he helps them lose

They gave up Sengun to the Rockets basically for free

Again not saying they should be trying to compete right now but I have no idea what they're trying to do or what they want to be

I think it's too early for this.

OKC without looking at their roster, I'll assume have one of the youngest rosters in the league. I don't think they'll have the same luck as drafting KD, Russ, and harden, but I think they need a year or so to find what works for them, but if people keep trying to make everyone a championship team overnight, then they'll always be on the clock to try and win today.

Like I said I'm cool having the minority opinion on this

Shai is only 23 and based on OKC current timeline he's already way ahead of what they're trying to do....how are you going to grow as a player if you getting shutdown because you winning too many games? I'm just saying if this rate and timeline OKC is going be on than it does make sense to trade him and continue to acquire assets if the is not goal to compete anytime soon

Again I'm not saying they should be competing or anything....but compared to the Pistons and Rockets I think an argument can be made that they're in better place in their rebuild than the the Thunder and they started behind them in the process

speaking of

Read somebody column recently about SGA and how long does he wanna do this rebuilding as it’s hampering his ability to emerge as a star in the league as he’s better than a guy like Morant and Arguably Fox

Sending a guy out there every game to lose in OKC While management just keeps trading for future picks and taking on vets contracts has to be discouraging because OKC is choosing to do this rather than being forced to. What’s stopping OKC from trading for Myles Turner, Ben Simmons, Buddy Hield, Brandon Ingram etc?

Nothing

Dude got to play with good players like CP3 and Gallo and make the playoffs, now he gets to be in street clothes for no reason and watch Poku play 33 minutes a games while OKC tanks for the next 4 years

Does this team win a title?

Ignoring my question, i actually get where u are coming from and understand your concern for SGA.

BUT i do see where Presti is coming from. That man drafted and had on the same team Durant, Westbrook, Harden and Ibaka (yes yes, i know he blew his lottery winnings). He must be of the belief that he can do it again with enough draft capital.

Poor SGA though.

I wasn’t trying to build a championship roster but one that’s competitive and one that SGA would want to play for

and I think Presti isn’t trying to do a repeat of KD, Russ, Ibaka, Harden

I think he’s trying to flip them for an established star and he already has enough picks to flip for multiple players but he’s holding on for flexibility’s sake which is cool I can’t fault him but you do have to think of the fans and SGA
