2021/22 NBA Season Thread

Jazz are willing to trade Gobert but not Mitchell and I get it

The Jazz can come out decent if they can trade for like Keldon Johnson and Jakob Poetl or something like that

I forgot Utah is hosting an all star game as well which was brought up on a podcast so they REALLY wouldn’t wanna trade Mitchell

I would absolutely do that deal if I was Utah...not if I was San Antonio though

lol relax man

I did honestly hear a rumor that Miami might be interested in Rudy or Donovan.

Most folks don't think anything will come of it because Riley and Ainge kinda have history for not really being cool with each other though. Supposedly Ainge wanted to draft Hero but Miami snagged him before he had a chance to get him.... supposedly

that shit isn’t happening. Lmao.

Zach staying in Chicago and the Spurs don’t have enough to get (without giving up a ton of picks) Rudy, even if they wanted to.

Jakob is a good center on a solid deal. He is a trade asset also.

I do find it funny how everyone in here is shitting on Rudy Gobert. Dude is a good player, overpaid, but still good. On the right team his rim protection and rebounding would push a team into a legit Finals contender

Facts. Only issue I have with him is his age. For that reason I don't believe masai would give up the house for him cause it goes against all the moves we've made to get to where we are now. But Gobert is a generational defensive impact player that's been stuck holding up a bunch of one way offensive guys. Slot him with the right group and that team is a problem.

I'm gonna go play with the trade machine. I'll be back.

Miami would be a really good fit honestly. The thing that would suck is some of their shooting would most likely get traded away to get Rudy. But finding shooters isn't a super hard thing to do. Just imagine if Bam could actually start knocking down the corner 3 at league average......

There starting 5 defense would be crazy.

Rudy
Bam
PJ Tucker
Butler
Lowry or Vincent

Would stil have the same problem as they do now, half court offense would struggle and it be all on Jimmy to score

Two sources with knowledge of Snyder’s thinking said his departure was a result of nothing more than his wanting to go in a different direction and take a step away from basketball for the foreseeable future. There were no ultimatums from either side, no demands on how to shape the roster. The Jazz made multiple offers of various structures to extend Snyder’s tenure, sources said, but were consistently rebuffed. There is an expectation in league circles that whenever San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich inevitably steps away from his own head coaching post, Snyder will be the leading candidate to replace the fabled leader. Snyder is said to be held in high regard by Spurs CEO R.C. Buford.
