2021/22 NBA Season Thread

Seems like the Nets don't have much leverage either.

I think Harden would be stupid to leave, but it wouldn't surprise me if he does.

If he's made it clear that he wants out, then it's really the Nets who don't have any leverage.
The Sixers want him we don’t have to trade him there and they can’t afford him.

Favor returned for Kawhi

The cost of doing good business

I guess. They did thad a solid as well. He'll be happy and useful here. Only thing I don't like about the trade is giving up a first rounder. Otherwise we got better and our bench is a little less pathetic.

This is bullshit.

The trade SHOULD be Ben for Harden, straight up. Harden says he's not re-signing with Los Nets, and they'll get Ben for at least three years after this season. Essentially, Philly COULD get James for free after this year, so if Morey hasn't put that on that the table, he's dumber than I thought.

The most I'd do in this trade though is Ben, Danny Green, either Korkmaz OR Shake (not both), and a 2nd. If they wanted a big, I'd throw in Paul Reed, but I'd need a Frontcourt player in return.

Someone fuckin up in Philly, and all signs point to Morey.

Yall dont have the cap space to sign Harden this offseason.

Either yall trade for Harden now, or do a sign and trade for Harden in the offseason.

Either way yall gotta trade for Harden.

Unless you can offload Tobias for expiring contracts, which will mean yall giving up on this season.

There's already rumors we got 2 suitors for Tobias if need be so...

Trading Tobias for expiring contracts means yall punting on what might be Embiids best season though
On Philadelphia’s side of the equation, the logic is pretty simple. Based on the intel they’ve gathered, they don’t view the trade deadline as the only opportunity they’ll have to acquire James Harden, and sources say they continue to insist they won’t be coerced into throwing everything at Brooklyn to make a deal happen now.

If the Sixers eventually need to move Tobias Harris in order to clear the cap space necessary to sign Harden in the summer, sources familiar with the situation say they have two potential suitors with cap space lined up who they could move Harris to if they need to clear the decks. The pick-collecting Thunder are an obvious team to watch. Whether you believe that’s a central part of their plan or a threat meant to bring down the Nets’ current ask, that’s the word that keeps slipping out.
