2021/22 NBA Season Thread

@#1hiphopjunki3

What have you seen from Josh Primo so far this season? I think he shown some flashes and has had some good moments in the G-league

Feel much better about that pick than I did originally

I still liked Segun better eventhough he is more of a center. Lol

Primo has definitely showed that he has potential to be pretty good. He is a solid 3 point shooter and defender already. His handle is solid but he needs to tighten that up. He doesn't have the quickest 1st step which hinders his ability to consistently beat defenders off the bounce but he has a little craftiness. He also has added muscle to his frame which is promising.

His passing is decent but in the G League he turns the ball over way too much and he has to work on his shoot selection. When he played in the NBA games he did well playing off ball but when Health & Safety protocols hit the team and he got more run, Pop let him run the 2nd unit and he wasn't aggressive enough at attacking the hoop and didn't play that well. I understand and like that they have him playing in the G League and NBA because in the G League he gets more opportunities on ball

Really looking at all 30 teams the only team that makes any sense for Russ is OKC imo

A nostalgia move for the fans and gets them in the arena

OKC wants to be bad and Russ will help them do that by being enabled to play his game

Only problem is Im sure SGA and Giddey would like to have the ball in their hands and rightfully so

Russ is at the portion of his career where he can be the best player on a team but the team will be bad. On a better team, you can try to put the right players around him but most likely you gonna sacrifice somewhere.

Like not maximizing the better player next to Russ or if he plays a lesser role, he’s going to be bad because he sucks playing off ball and can’t shoot. If it’s an even lesser role than that he’s not going to accept it. It’s going to take years for him to be okay with being Lamelo or Trae’s backup

Probably the most disappointing thing about the season so far for me is Garuba hasnt been able crack the rotation and has been spending most of his time in the G-league which is fine as long he developing his game and getting better....just thought he was one of the more NBA ready prospects

Could also be a situation where they're just waiting free up some playing time and role for him too once a couple of moves are made

Daishen Nix got next out the G-League though, that boy been putting in work
