2021/22 NBA Season Thread

Something has to give...just looking at the roster we have to do something when you're talking about bringing 2 more 1st round picks with one of them being a top 3 pick.....We have Jalen Green, Josh Christopher and Sengun last year, I'm basically looking at Garuba as another rookie 1st round pick...Kenyon Martin Jr wants a bigger role, we're invested in Porter Jr....Garry Bird and Daishen Nix looking for minutes.....then you have the odd men out with Wood, Tate, Nwaba and Gordon

It doesn't work

We're either going to consolidate to open up more playing time for these young guys to develop or we're going to consolidate to bring in another veteran or two and try to be more competitive
Yeah it’s a tricky thing

do you commit to a entirely young and developing roster and not try to be overly competitive outside of the development standpoint? Then you have to get rid of the older guys who can do more than being a mentor

The Abundance of picks makes it hard because you have so many young players with not enough time for proper development

I personally think it’s best to move guys like Wood, Tate, and KPJ but you also would have to do something with

I wouldn’t feel the need to keep KPJ with Banchero potentially coming

Didn't watch many Rockets games, what was the issue with Wood?

His effort tends to wax and wane at times, can have a tendency to pout if he isn't getting touches and his attitude can be very visible during games

I think he's still a valuable player but he would be better served on a team trying to compete right now and that had more of a defined pecking order and role for him

The X-Factor is Tilman Fertitta, I can see him wanting to accelerate the timeline and push to be more competitive as soon as next season

I love the fit of Chet and Sengun on both sides of the court, I think that could be a very special pairing
I threw Chet in there because if you move wood then you have to replace him because I don’t think Sengun is gonna cut it defensively as a 6’9 C especially when defense is a work in progress for a starting caliber C

Chet makes the most sense next to sengun

Banchero is cool but the fit for the rockets is probably more ideal with Chet

His shooting helps as well

Banchero gonna need the ball and as I already said idk how I feel about green, KPJ, and paolo needing the ball for the most part

My only issue with Chet is he's too damn skinny, can his body hold up against banging with the other bigs in he league

You guys complain about nobody posting up anymore

Chet will be fine and this is from someone who said fuck Chet years ago lol

he’s a terrific rim protector and can stretch the floor and he’s 7’2

Bigs gotta worry about him as well
