2021/22 NBA Season Thread

Speaking of head coaches I forgot the hornets still have to hire one

but apparently it’s between Kenny Atkinson and Pringles

why hire Pringles?

they had no trouble scoring under their last coach. The defense was the real issue.

D’antoni isn’t gonna help the team with that. Unless he has switched up his approach or will hire a good defensive coach on his staff.

A decent amount of people on realgm.com was crying about Jalen Brown commenting positively on this when he was asked about it by a (I think Marc Spears) reporter.

folks were showing their true colors in that thread for sure.

Can't speak for the entire site but the raptors forum be giving off hella racist vibes sometimes. About the only time I post on there is to check a cac that gets outta pocket.

Guess they wanna fully unleash Lamelo and turn him into what harden was when he got there and MDA went to the lakers when Kupchak was still there? Might be throwing him a bone

Stephen A saying MJ changed the game for the worse is just his most effortless trash take. Just when you thought he couldn’t get any worse. First Take ratings must be free falling for him to resort to this.

Commissioner Adam Silver said the NBA is considering switching the voting process for All-NBA selections each season from the current position-based system to one where voters select the 15 best players regardless of position. Silver said it is something he plans to address with the National Basketball Players Association. “In terms of determinations for All-NBA, I think a fair amount of consideration is going into whether [the media] should just be picking top players than be picking by position,” Silver said at a news conference ahead of Game 1 of the NBA Finals. “I think we are a league that has moved increasingly toward position-less basketball, and the current system may result in some inequities based on the happenstance of what your position is

Rick Brunson is finalizing a deal to become an assistant coach with the Knicks, reports Ian Begley of SNY.tv. Brunson was formerly an assistant under Tom Thibodeau in Chicago and Minnesota, and has deep ties to the Knicks’ head coach, as Begley notes.

Brunson is the father of Mavericks guard Jalen Brunson, whom the Knicks have reportedly expressed interest in. He’ll be an unrestricted free agent this summer, but the Mavs have repeatedlyexpressed optimism about re-signing him.
