SOOO much work needs to be done.
On the offensive side:
O-Line - Let Brooks and Dillard and Lane heal up good. Obviously Kelce is the rock, but keep Driscoll around, as well as Seumalo. It’s finally time to part with Peters. Say goodbye to him with some class.
RB - I wouldn’t mind keeping Jordan Howard around as a back-up to Miles. I do think Boston Scott has played out his time here. We need a 3rd string replacement.
WR - The first MAJOR priority. If the Eagles end up 3 or even 4, make a real run at Devonte Smith from Bama. If not, Je’Marr Chase or Rashod Bateman. We need an all-purpose WR, not just a speed demon or a deep threat. Alshon gets the fuck out. So does Desean, as much as I like the guy. They can take JJ with them at this point. OTAs are gonna be crucial to this young corps, and I suggest Wentz AND Hurts spend time with this crew in March or April. Reagor and Fulgham are gonna be the key next year, so they have to develop into full on WRs. Hell, keep Quez, and move Ward to kickoff returns.
TE - Ertz is expendable now. For the contract he wants, he can test the market and go. If he does leave, lock up Goddert, and bring back Richard Rogers, who had a few solid games when they both were out. Get a UFA as a 3rd string.
QB - I saved this for last cause this is the biggest question of all. So: who starts?
I know everyone here says let the two Duke it out in preseason, but I honestly think that Wentz should be the Week 1 starter. Look man, Hurts IS 1-2 as a starter, and I don’t see anything that separates him. I think with some better pieces around him, this humiliation Wentz suffered will finally make him realize he is ALSO expendable. So, he should be back on a relatively short leash: if the Eagles start out 2021 1-3 or 2-4 or something like that, he goes right back to the bench and Hurts has his REAL chance to grab the franchise. I’m not trading Carson, tho. Let him start. Just toughen him up and give him that assurance.
OC - We NEED one. Coach P is DONE calling the game. I’m tempted to let Coach go, but I think he’s a decent HC. However, we simply must have someone else design this offense. It was too predictable, too easy to counter, and never played to its strengths when it had to. Duce should be the guy, but I wouldn’t hate the organization if they searched nation-wide to find one. Point is, it’s NOT Coach P. He’s done with those duties.
