Smith was completing over 60% of his passes, had 17 TD's and 5 INT's, they were 13-3, and Kap was a rookie. You're asking why that he wasn't benched? This was a stupid question. And bad example. You're not benching anyone here... the starter was hurt. Smith didn't get hurt, and have someone come in over Kap.

Brady was a 6th round rookie. Starting rookies day 1 wasn't always a popular move. Especially late round picks. And when Bledsoe got hurt, someone else didn't come in over Brady to take over the job.

Dunno. Maybe because Romo was an undrafted rookie, so he needed to develop. He probably took time to develop. Winston is a 6th year player drafted 1st overall. Shitty comparison.

Kurt Warner was a rookie. He took over in his second year.

3 of your 4 examples are asking why rookies (2 undrafted, 1 6th rounder) weren't 1st year starters. How's that similar to Winston not being 2nd string in his 6th season? Do better.
