2020 NFL Offseason Thread

The 5 mill is wishful thinking, but he blew off 10 a year so he might have kilt his own market (he MIGHT still can get thatz it's iffy tho). Somewhere around 8 is more of a realistic # imo.

I was right on target about the 8 mill a year.

He did himself no favors by holding out and then coming back an averaging a whopping 3.8 YPC. Should have signed that 10 per, but hindsight is 20/20 I guess.

The real knock on Ebron is he doesn't block.... like @ all. When Jack Doyle (he's decent) gets more tick than you that's a problem. lol

I guess the Steelers plan to really get back to airing it out since Ben will be back.

You gotta realize that he just seen Zeke, Gurley and Bell do what they did. He was putting up those type of numbers. Yes, he overplayed his hand. But I see why he did what he did.

Zeke worse year was when he was suspend for 6 games and had 983 and still out performed Gordon for 4 of his years with that 983

Bell has numerous 1K seasons. Missed an entire season and only played in 6 games one year and still had 600 yards

Gurly was hurting last year and still had better numbers that Gordon did in 3 of his 5 years

Vance is going to be the blocker.. He's the more complete TE.. I think Ebron is going to be used more in the red zone & in 3rd in long type situations...

He was NEVER the caliber player of those aforementioned backs you named and nobody ever put him in that class. HE felt like he was, but he and his agent overinflated his worth.

I think he wanted @ least 12 (I remember reports saying they were 2 mill a year apart) which I would say is a lil steep..... there's a reason why no team traded for him (Chargers were open to trade offers). I do understand that teams were prolly weary of giving up a pick for a guy that would've been a free agent the very next year (now), but we've seen teams make that move and give said player a contract extension. No team thought he was worth that @ the time and definitely not now after his showing.

I will say this in his defense also, it was never clear how much guaranteed $ the Chargers were offering. They've always been a cheap franchise so that could've been there reason he didn't sign.
