The fix is real simple too.
8 teams. 5 Power 5 champs, Top group of 5 team and two at large teams. All the new year 6 bowls are the quarterfinals and semifinals games. Natty rotates at NFL stadiums all across country. No more than two teams in playoffs per conference so you keep the regular season important.
Under this model this season playoffs would be
1 Bama/8 Ore at Peach Bowl
2 Clemson/7 Cincinnati Orange Bowl
3 Ohio State/ 6 Oklahoma Cotton Bowl
4 ND / 5 A&M Fiesta Bowl
Semis are Rose and Sugar
Make ?

That’s a good idea. I originally thought in the first round, the top 4 seeds would host a playoff game, then have the semifinals in the different bowls but your idea would make much more money
