No one gives the Warriors slack for losing a 3-1 lead in 2016’. In fact, it more or less defines and limits their legacy
- 2 Key players missed time being injured
- 1 All Star missed a pivotal game
- And their best player was playing injured
James Worthy and Byron Scott were injured in 91’. No one puts an asterisk next to MJ’s first title. It isn’t even a footnote.
Kawhi has to play by the same rules.
Or what about 2015, when Kyrie and Love was injured? This thing you’re trying to do is funny.

Virtually EVERYONE gives Lebron way too much credit for taking the Warriors to 6 games. People basically talk like he won that series and the Warriors get an asterisk for winning the championship.
Because of INJURIES.
That’s my point.
Certain players and teams get tremendous credit for losing while experiencing injuries - While for other players and teams injuries aren’t even a consideration when they lose.

I would play him as long as it's not significant pain.
KD might not return, Steph could get hurt, Looney is out, Iggy is hobbled, the bench is thin etc they should be trying to win as quickly as possible because anything can happen.
Kerr would just have to be smart about his minutes and rotations.
