2019-20 NFL Season Thread

If brissett plays well enough this season his extension will be nice

The Indianapolis Colts and quarterback Jacoby Brissett agreed to terms on a two-year, $30 million extension, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Rapoport reported Brissett will receive $20 million guaranteed.

Brissett is in the final year of his current deal, which counts for $2.025 million against the salary cap. The 26-year-old will open the 2019 NFL season as the Colts' starting quarterback following the sudden retirement of Andrew Luck.

The Colts still have a strong team, the strongest it’s been in the Luck era. Unfortunately his retirement may of ruined their Super Bowl chances at this point, but Brissett is capable. The rest of the AFC South is typically inconsistent so I wouldn’t sleep on the Colts.
