Unless they can find a way to make Fultz effective in a 6th man role the 76ers bench and lack of depth is going to be a problem

No return date for Wilson Chandler isnt a good sign and not having BellyNelly and Ilyasova is going to hurt

Fultz has to be what he was projected to be in the starting lineup for the Sixers to have any chance this year.

In other words Fultz has to be an athletic wing who gets his own shot.

Simmons will still bring the ball up most of the time cause he has that once in a generation level vision, but Fultz can still bring the ball up and make plays too, just to give teams another look.

A sixth man giving you 13-15 points off the bench is a dime a dozen in the NBA. That doesnt move the needle for the Sixers. The Sixers could have brought in Jamal Crawford in for that. If thats what Fultz ends up being, they will be better off trading him.

The Celtics shut down Ben last year and the Sixers wings had no answer for the Celtics once Ben couldnt set them up.

The answer has to be Fultz. They have 82 games to get it right, if not the Celtics and the Raptors will run through them in the playoffs.

Due to the Dodgers game last night i just finished watching the Sixers game. IMO Fultz looked kinda timid on both sides of the ball. There were plays he just stood around away from the action. I don't believe they froze him out i just think they don't trust him yet. Brown pissed me off with the lack of playing time he gave Fultz in the second half. Philly needs to know asap if this kid can play and those garbage time minutes would of helped with his confidence. It had to hurt his soul that the guy he was chosen ahead of was playing like a star and he was on the bench not sure if he can get back in. Especially after all the work he put in this summer. I'm not sure right now he should be starting over JJ but if they are gonna commit to this kid they better hurry up and decide. I know this is a hot take after just one game but i just didn't like his body language out there last night.

Also, if we look between the lines, not signing KP to an extension basically confirms that he wont play this season.

KP and his camp arent dumb enough to allow KP to play like the last 25 games of the season and risks getting injured and a 125+ mil.

They likely gonna wait till they can see whoever they can get with the 10+ mil not signing KP gives them and sign KP to the max before the start of next season.

Knox supposedly played himself out of the starting lineup with his last few preseason games and Fizz is all about creating a culture of working hard and earning your minutes. The starting lineup supposedly earned their minutes.

Also all this talk about positionless baskbetball is probably the reason Frank is the starting 3.

The starting lineup based on potential and talent to me should be Frank, Tim, Knox, Lance, Kanter.

Burke is at best a good bench player that comes in and gets you a quick 14 points. Hes a good scorer but he cant run an offense for shit.

I would prefer them trying to develop Frank as the PG but I guess Fizz feels building the culture is more important.
