You forgot he was apart of two of those National Title Game appearances, if it wasn't for the last second TD by Watson he would have won the title for us with that TD run and even though we lost to Auburn last year he did his thing against Clemson in The Semi-finals to get us to the title game.

after watching the michigan game we ain't gonna win shit until we get an offensive line.
we got the worst pair of starting tackles in the power 5 conferences. we can't call a pass play that will need a 5 or 7 step drop and allow our skilled wideouts to go deep cuz the qb will get sacked.
this shit is frustrating. you can change the scheme and the oline coaching but more talent is needed up front

Jalen knows he’s not better but Nick does a great job giving him the confidence that he has a shot at the starting job.

That's all cool my post was more about recruiting tho. If Saban publicly names Tua the starter every other college coach is gonna start the narrative that Saban gives up on you the first time something goes wrong.

I had a friend at Bama. Dude said everybody knows that and Saban don’t care what you did and all about what you’re going to do.
All their practices is open NFL personal and they know if you fuck up you will be replaced.
Recruits like that shit.
That’s how USC and LSU used to be under Les and Pete.
If a freshman comes in and better than you, they didn’t care what you did, you getting replaced.

But isn't that the life they chose? Recruits, especially ones that go to elite schools are told that the coaches are trying to find their replacement, someone better, I remember Ron Zook of all people saying that. Jalen clearly lost his job to someone better. He was going to lose the NC. It's no one's fault but Jalen the he lost his spot. It hurts (no pun), it sucks, but that's the game and there's not a coach out there that would not have done the same. Saban's mentor did the same thing to Bledsoe, that's sports. Seems like Saban's problem was that he got greedy, trying to protect depth. As good ad Tua is, he seems like a reckless scrambler. Even at Bama, you can't have it both ways.
