It was cover 2 with 2 high safeties. The weakness in that defense is the deep middle. The qb did an excellent job forcing the safety to cover the middle with his eyes. He saw the free release on the left and knew that his receiver had the speed to beat the corner deep. The safety didn't make a terrible play the qb just made a better one. There are veteran NFL qbs who can't do what that freshman qb just did.

As a dawg fan this shit hurts like hell but I got to give it up to Tua for making the play and to Satan, I mean Saban for making the call.

He did that because he dont like being over talked like Canada allegedly did. Canada was outspoken and Orgeron is trying to establish is post. He got a bunch of 'YES' men surrounding him. If this flounders, He will not be the coach in 2019.

A bunch of reporters are trying to push the rumor to have Hugh Freeze as a consultant. Hugh was Orgeron's OC at Ole Miss.

I told my co-worker and his wife that i wouldn't be suprised if Saban put Tua in second half and they said i was crazy.
I knew we wasn't gonna win this game trying to run Jalen, we needed offense thru the air and Tua was the guy for the job.
Jalen was a great teammate, didn't sit on the bench with a towel on his head pulling a Scammy Cam tantrum and he was cheering him on the whole time.

Yeah man...I was super impressed with the level of maturity he showed...and then the genuine happiness he was showing and the way he talked up Tua post-game...

I hope he stays man...Indef wont be mad if he decides to transfer...but man...if he stays and we give him a wildcat package of about 12-15 plays...and he work at slot wr man...

Tua can run those same plays.

And a QB not suppose to run wild cat though. Might as well put a speedster instead of a QB with meh speed.

He would be a fool to stay. He if wants to play he has to transfer.
 
Ridley will be 24 next year and while he’s great at running routes his hands and strength concern me.

Mainly his hand strength.

Something to look out for.

Eh...he can still be a weapon...he should still have about 12 - 15 play package at qb and work some slot wr.

Even if he does transfer...imo he is what he is as a qb and he doesnt have a future in the NFL as a qb.

So why not pull a B. Miller and change positions NOW to get some work and coaching...

Regardless of his QB skills he is still an excellent athlete
 
If he does leave I suspect Houston or Texas are his two main targets

Aint no way in hell Saban letting him go to TAMU
 
He’s not good enough to start over any QB on Texas roster and Houston actually throws the ball a lot and we all seen he can’t throw.

In the Big 12 guy need a QB that can actually throw and he would fit any of the offenses.
