20 Years Ago Today, Jay-Z Released His Album ‘The Blueprint’

One thing I noticed was Blueprint ad Stillmatic didn't have any sub-bass compared to what was coming out of The South like No Limit and Cash Money.

Twin towers went down 11 september. Thats all I remember. I was at school I was in my classroom and we had a moment of silence that day.

Whats crazy when I came that morning entering the classroom it was 3 ppl celebrating . It was 7grade( we was a kinda big class, like 25 ppl)

4\25 parents from other countries but what sad I know from my history that the hate for USA didnt start that day. It was an guy from IRAQ and one guy from BANGLADESH the other was an arab girl . Like rest of the class were blondes . The teacher was mad cuz they laugh at the moment of silence...

Whats fuked up is that those were my closest friends and I grew up with them so my hate against USAgot bigger butI had lived there so I knew it was good parts there aswell good ppl. But after11 september Americans havent been the same against Muslims

Wow, I feel like an idiot. Not once has this album crossed my mind yesterday. It's hard to associate BP with 9/11 because it was a timeless piece of art as well as an event in its own right. One of the top emcees in the game claiming his spot as THE top emcee. BP was miles ahead of anything that came out around that time til Stillmatic. Even the non Ye/Just/Bink track were at absolute worst average Jay tracks... definitely better than most of Vol 3. The flaws make it a perfect album... 4:44 was a flawless album, but I gotta listen to that in increments. I can play BP out loud straight thru and do my laundry when Hola Hovito comes on (fire ass beat btw). You Don't Know makes me wanna convince someone's grandmother to spend her church tithes on a dime bag so I can reimburse my connect for the 92 bricks that I lost.
