What is 137 Shots about?
This Netflix documentary focuses on the infamous 2012 police chase and fatal shootings of 43-year-old Timothy Russell and 30-year-old Malissa Williams at the hands of Cleveland police in Northeast Ohio.

This incident garnered national attention for how police handled it. Malissa and Timothy led cops on a 22-minute high-speed chase before police cornered them in a middle school parking lot. Then, 13 Cleveland police officers fired 137 times at Malissa and Timothy as they sat in their car. What was even more disturbing was that when the suspects were removed from their car, no gun or shell casings were found.

This caused outrage across the nation with many activists demanding accountability from the Cleveland Police force.
