A 12-year-old boy appeared in court on Tuesday after he was arrested for allegedly selling his mixtape at a Georgia mall in October. Corey “Lil C Note” Jackson, a young rapper, faces charges of disorderly conduct with violence, criminal trespassing and an obstruction felony.

Jackson was in Georgia visiting family when he was arrested in the mall’s food court. Police allege that the young rapper was taken into custody after he was told twice to stop selling his mixtapes. But Jackson‘s lawyer, Mawuli Davis, has maintained his young client’s innocence. “When he was there, he was not selling any CDs,” Davis told CBS 46.

A video of the arrest shows a white police officer holding on to Jackson’s arm and refusing to speak to the boy’s father on the phone. Yahoo Lifestyle has reached out to Davis for further comment.

Jackson has posted about his run-in with the police on Instagram multiple times, explaining that he’s now scared of the police. In an interview with CBS 46 that he posted to his Instagram account, he said the whole situation was “mind-blowing.”

“I know that I didn’t do anything wrong,” Jackson said.

He added in an Instagram caption that he feels like the police treated him as if he were a robber or murderer and called for the police officer’s bodycam footage to be released.
