What happens when it realizes it doesn’t have to use as much energy to effectively kill a human than it would against another gorilla?

If mad people rush from all sides, it can't take everyone out because it's movement will be impeded by the sheer amount of people. Some would need to try and bind the legs, some for the arms. It's bones don't cover everything. Eyes and groin are the best bet. Stomach as well, though their skin is tough.

How do yall think some weaker pack animals protect themselves from predators? Usually sheer numbers. Sheer numbers is highly affective. That matters. Animals know danger when they see it.

Lots will be dead or crippled but humans got a chance.
