It would have been better if it was a joke. Like if Captain Durag was a gag character in the Moon Girl show or something like that. A whole series built around a character nonironically called Captain Durag is goofy though. lol

And ya'll stop telling people "It's not that deep." Some of us are saying we think this is stupid. We're not locking arms and marching to Disney Land singing "We Shall Overcome."
 
I saw this yesterday. In the context of the show it’s not the worst thing in the world… but damn they couldn’t have came up with anything slightly better? It’s whatever most people like me didn’t even know the show existed until now.

It's not a whole series based around the character. It's basically one character's imaginary friend
 
Me and my daughter watch the show, its not even a big part of it. Outrage dont feel real. I feel like the outrage lends credibility to the respectability politics part of it.

The way it's being presented intentionally is as if it's an entire show. And because people don't read past a tweet they're approaching it from that pov
