In another thread @BNE said she wouldn't want to go out on a date with someone who was dating or talking to someone else. But shouldn't there be a time period after we meet and are courting for a person to decide that another is worthy of giving up all other entanglements? I also said my wife...

Stolen: So I just saw this and want to pose the question to my single folks... Would you swap phones with someone and go through each other's phones to "get to know them" and ultimately make a choice to get to know them further or not based solely on what you saw while with the phone?

would you be comfortable, or better yet satisfied, with 'single' being your permanent relationship status?
