Voice Memo Guy

Literally moving the goal posts, you all over the place.

You can't compare their music to our parents music.

And completely skip over our generation in terms of impact.

Our music would have the same impact on them that our parents music had on us.

So what music from our generation do you want to compare?

Again Usher still touring.... Nice and slow definitely a classic song that provides a smooth vibe.... Why not use that example... You brought up Marvin Gaye, why not James Brown papa don't take no mess??

Bruh just concede and say you were wrong
Lol.

You and i know Jeremiah aint talking bout love shit or loving your girl throughout his album like Marvin.
Nigga prolly dont have a song in the realm of loving your woman.

Smh

But keep going brotha lmao

So instead of using the examples from our generation that would more accurately try to fit into your narrative, you skipped over a whole generation and asked who's their Marvin Gaye without even establishing who's our Marvin Gaye for reference.

You tell me who's our generations Marvin Gaye since you wanna use the specific example.

Who do you feel that came up in our generation that carried the same weight with our parents. And why not use James Brown. That was my father's favorite artist.. Why not Rick James, that was my aunt's. I heard more James Brown, Rick James, Parliament, and shit like that when I was a kid.
I heard brick house way more times than sexual healing.

Lets put this in context. You say things without having the proper context in place

Tevin been away in 1999. I wanna say he came back in 96 or 98 with Come Back to the World single

Lets rewind to when he was hot..
1994, 93, 95...the radio.

Tevin was on the radio, niggas was listening to Tevin.
Tevin was on countdowns, BET soul..niggas saw Tevin

Going outside, in real time. No..during that time...niggas has walkmans or big ass speakers...1 or 2 people at the basketball park and it was mostly rap being played there
But niggas 11 and 19 knew who Tevin was...hell kids 5 and 6 knew who Tevin was

Again proper context, 1999. You wasn't online and name the male RB artist in 99 like a Brent and lets compare both artist outlook

Not sure why you chose the year 1999 but ok.

Because you mentioned playing video games and I thought about when the ps2 came out. No more no less. That didn't mean the entire post was about that year hence me mentioning artist from the 90s through 2000s. And you just proved you agree with my point. Groups of young men wasn't out then and they not out now bumping r&b music when they're kicking it. So continuing to ask what teens and young men are listening to when you already know the answer is redundant.

Yes or no, did you make a post in this thread about listening to Promise by Jagged Edge as a teen or early 20s or sometihng? When and where did you listen to this song at?

That song came out when I was in HS. And I listened to it when I would be with my then gf. I wasn't listening to it when I was hanging out with my male friends.

How often do you be around teens, college kids these days? Like do you be around them long enough to understand how they talk or what kind of music do they talk about or listen to? Like in real life.

I'm trying to see where you get your point of views from to make these statements

You were in HS, and you heard that song. Now where do you think the HS kids and middle school black males heard Tevin Campbell songs from in 1994?

Let's go away from Marvin Gaye, you're at this point trying to come up with anything to address my questions, you can't defeat the truth.

In our generation.

I'll take Dave Hollister, Aaron Hall, Gerald Levert Do you think Jermiah makes music like Dave Hollister and Aaron Hall and Gerald Levert, Does Jermiah have the same kind of content as these 3 dudes who make music that you can soak up sexy and cool game to?

They don’t talk about fucking hood niggas?

You make songs about having sex with the opposite sex brotha, appreciating the opposite gender, in loving ways in most cases. Not talk about getting your asshole ate and dug out. Anita Baker not talking like Cardi B or singing about toxic shit all throughout her albums like these R&B chicks and female rappers do.

Salt N Pepa didn't talk like that on their albums. Sexy Red do. Cardi B does.

Does Queen Latifah talk/rap like that? Do Sexy Red and Queen have the same content? No nigga.

Queen Latifah raps/content is not about whoring yourself out. Cardi B, Sexy Red content is about hoe'n yourself out. You need to take an AIDs test if you was to go about doing what their content pushes out.

Do you see the difference?

Gerald Levert songs are not about being some kind of savage, asshole. you can be sexy and cool, getting game from Gerald Levert content.

These new R&B dudes, you have to take a HIV test after you listen to these niggas sing with their content. It's aggressive content.

You said Salt n Pepa tho not Anita Baker. Salt n Pepper made Rough neck.

Also they are rappers not singers. You brought rappers in it but we talking bout rnb. And Salt and peppa talked about fucking hood niggas

Only thing you’re complaining about is the message is more balatant

MC Lyte made Rough Neck and that's wanting a type of dude. 1 song, not songs throughout the album on that wave.

What kind of dudes should Salt N Pepa be talking bout?

Should they be talking about having sex with chicks?

When you singing, you're singing to yourself or to the opposite sex?

Niggas are not sexy and cool - Dwayne

Do you believe this is the case?

Some think niggas are still sexy and cool when it comes to talking to women, but they don't be around them though to know or hear the language that they use, but yet they know that these dudes (Youngins) be on some sexy and cool tip, but be in threads talking about how young dudes need to do x, y and z. but yet don't even be around these dudes to even know what these youngin need to do or not do.

I'm telling these niggas how young dudes are moving these days, but I gotta go back and forth with dudes who claim that they don't even be around them but they know the motion

Lol. Yall are a trip.

Bruh women our age don’t like all that blatant shit. And I don’t think the young noggas getting pussy are blatantly asking unless it’s established. Du gave you like 10 artists and told you what his kid do

I feel like you just wait for somebody to agree with you before you give up

Off this thread, I've been listening to the kid Jerimih all day long... I had a couple long drives today

1. This kid has A LOTTA bangers... Way more songs I've heard that I didn't realize were his..

2. Bro definitely fits the cool mold that can easily represent young dudes of this era

3. Nobody has an excuse to say there's no other lane than the savage lane when this kid exists.

He's young, popular, and making really good music. The entire argument is deaded by his existence.. And he's not the only one. So yeah.. This convo is dead.
