$18 Combos and $3 Hashbrowns got McDonalds rethinking all these price hikes.

If I wanted to raise my prices to increase profits in order keep the shareholders/Wall Street happy, I'd use that as an excuse as well. It goes back to what I said before:

It's not an excuse for mom and pop shops that are not a franchise. If their chicken distributor raises prices, they pass it on to the customer. Otherwise, they gonna lose money. One of the reasons many restaurants fail the first year is due to a high operation cost. That includes food in that cost. A supply chain will bost prices for many reasons like a virus breakout in the meat, weather destroying crops, and other things.

But we're not talking about mom and pop shops, are we?

McDonald's controls pretty much their entire supply chain. You can't do business with them without accepting their terms; they set the price and you just gotta deal with it in order to sell to them.

That's not really true though...

In all seriousness when people say this can yall provide alternatives?

And please dont say eat at home. Sometimes that shit gets boring and time consuming with busy schedules.

Let's be honest with ourselves: The overwhelming majority of people work an 8-5 and their lives are not so busy where fast food becomes a necessity. Its only a convenience and nothing more for most people buying it.

If homecooked food is "boring", why not cook something that isn't?

Adding to this.. with the invention of air fryers cooking a decent meal is relatively quick and painless.. nobody is that busy.
