Official Car/Vehicle thread.. Car mods, new purchases, general convo

The Altima been good to me😢

I've been looking at what's available on the market 'cause I'mma need to pick up a second car. Saw a few older Altimas, but in particular I ran across an Altima coupe with the 3.5L V6 under the hood. Checks off a bunch of boxes for me but it was an automatic, and when I looked at what transmission was in those, it's a CVT, which I have absolutely no faith in. Wouldn't mind one with the 6 speed in it, but never the CVT.

Have you had any issues with your transmission? Or do you have a manual?

I got a manual. 3.5L I think.

I had to get the gear shit fixed about 2 years ago but it's been purring like a kitten ever since. That was the only major work I've had done on it in the 16yrs or so i've owned it.

You be outchea driving like this, don't you?

More reasons why I don't fuck with modern cars:

Yep, lol. My BMW had a plastic oil pan. That was one of the major repairs needed. Would have cost over $2k to fix. I figured if I’m not leaking oil, keep rolling.

Rode that bitch another 2 years after I was first told then traded it in. Somebody else’s problem now. 🤷🏾

They are so good on gas, this is my 2013 Nissan Altima 2.5 on a full tank of gas

120k in the 80s?! Gatmofodamn!

YUP!!! It was squarely in the Countach/Testarossa territory back then and I genuinely believe they were more expensive that he said. At least I remember 'em being more expensive.

(edit) There was also the AMG Hammer Sedan that came out a year or so earlier. I remember seeing exactly one of those in Metro Detroit in the late 80's.
