I swear one of yall was saying that was the reason IT stayed and didn't leave
We are saying the same thing.
In the book, it landed in what is now Derry. It made it like a ranch, and the people were cattle. Free to eat when ever "buffet". Didn't have to move and hunt in different states. IT likes simple. He can go to other areas of the world but IT doesnt like change.

In the show, IT is trapped. That's when the military got involved and try to free IT. Even the movie never introduced this concept

Did we see IT with full power in season 1? Was that when the big chunk was melted or was IT not at full power because the other little pieces were still there?

Enjoyed this very much. I'm glad bruh decided not to commit dat. But I MOS DEFINITELY would've gotten da fucc up outta Derry EXPEDITIOUSLY! I ain’t tryin to go thru that shyt again in another 20+ years. Damn that.

I saw that it's been confirmed for season 2 and 3

“Let me say, not in limbo at all. Hardly. It was a huge success for us,” he said. “Andy and Barbara are hard at work trying to come up with an idea for a story they’d want to tell for another season. I would happily do it. One of the challenges is, there’s not a book that you’re basing it on, so it’s invention. They want to make sure that they have a story they’re excited to tell. So it’s not limbo other than they need to land on something they’re excited by creatively. We’ll be there.”
