That’s ultimately up to the voters to hold politicians accountable

Now if you speaking on politicians who broke some in house rules or ethical standards…. The Dems have a far better track record than the Republicans

Trump is a testament to this

Depends on the specific topic because politics covers a wide range of things. Also in this election given the voter turnout it can be argued that Dems and those on the left and their lack of turnout and support for either Biden or Kamala was them being held accountable. They lost pretty handidly and you don't do that if people actually believed in what they did and wanted to do.


And there is nothing wrong with holding people accountable...but if that's the most consistent response to something then it does show a lack of actually being able to do just that...hold people accountable. If 7/10 somebody brings up something somebody on the right does and your response is "But the other side does it too"...then it can be inferred that you don't actually care to hold anybody accountable. You just don't want your side catching smoke. Especially if your call outs consistent are in defense of one side over another. I dealt with this with a friend of mine and pushed them on it til they finally had to admit where their true thoughts lie and stop hiding it behind the "both sides" shit.

And again I say to you specifically...when it's about things involving race, and try as you might Trump has made it so you cannot easily divorce race as a major piece, from these decisions being made then if you want an actual discussion then dropping some of the condescension would serve better to get more of the responses you want.

Dems didnt try to control the primaries and suppress 3rd party candidates to give themselves an edge? They have themselves to blame for Trump being our president.

We are on a predominantly democrat leaning website. There is more hypocrisy to call out on Dem side than Republican. Don't insinuate I'm a Republican. When ppl do this I feel like they've gotten so extreme that criticism of "their side" means the guy critiquing is automatically "the other side". Guess who else does that? The other side....both sides.

I'm not whoever your friend is.

I'm not insinuating you're a Republican. I said that given how you just admitted how you move, calling out Dems more than Republicans here, that it could be inferred. There was no definitive statement at all. Calm down. Even with this being a left leaning board, which could and has been argued differently depending on the topic at hand, you feeling as if you gotta be the 1 to consistently call out the both sides shit is a level of self importance you've subscribed to yourself. Nobody told you to take that role on. The comparison you missed with me mentioning my friend is that at some point the shit you're defending becomes the things you actually believe.

As for the other shit how about asking if I even saw that post before assuming I did. I've said before blatantly to you that I think your need to try and both sides things and defend certain things as being the same had you defending and/or saying some shit that at best is showing a huge blind spot and being naive to how Black people view things despite your proximity to us. But continuing to be condescending about racial under and overtones while trying to defend yourself from being called such definitely don't help your case.

I said I was gonna to start being more open to your posts even if it appears you are leaning in either direction too far

I do appreciate your povs for the most part even if I disagree

Second, who on this site has not held Democrats responsible for any of their mistakes, mishaps or shortcomings??

Politics intrigue me even tho I don't vote. I don't find what I do self important I'm just interested and these are my viewpoints. On this board it stems from voting threads and the whole non voter vs Democrat debates. This goes back to the IC days. Irl im around a wider variety of politcal beliefs that if it was reflected on here I'd prob just be reduced to a contrarian. I've done the same to my Republican friends. That dynamic simply doesn't exist here so it's never seen.

Without even checking receipts I know Stringer and Los gotta be 1a and 1b

In the Palisades fire thread I was hit with a couple titangraphs for criticizing Newsom. Same poster is in here being a hypocrite.

Then there's convos that happen in some of the election threads, the COVID thread had a lot of it, came from diff posters. I mean I'm not gonna pull up posts. But it happens.
