Over the last day or so, there's been a lot of talk about the future of Malakai Black within AEW.

PWInsider.com is told by several sources that Black is believed to be leaving the company and that he is expected to be a free agent sometime in the area of February/March.

Black is still technically under contract but those we have spoken with believe he is done with any future appearances.

Black, a former WWE NXT Champion, signed with AEW in 2021 after WWE, then being overseen by Vince McMahon, released him. Black was pushed heavily by Paul Levesque in NXT and one would think WWE is the most likely landing place for him once he is free and clear. While in AEW, he feuded with Cody Rhodes and Adam Copeland and headed The House of Black, which also featured Brody King, Julia Hart and Buddy Matthews.

Black is slated to make a rare independent appearance tomorrow in Florida for Coastal Championship Wrestling.

HHH always did nigga

Vince the one who canned him in the first place

it'll be interesting to see what they do with him cus i dont even know where he fits in coming back right now

He could of been a dope new leader for Judgement Day before they changed them to what we see now.

There is a snowstorm currently hitting Atlanta. That has led to a number of flying delays and cancellations coming in and out of Hartsfield-Jackson Airport,. as it flights have been grounded several times today.

WSB TV in Atlanta is reporting "More than 1,100 flights canceled at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Another 529 have been delayed, according to flight tracker Flight Aware."

Given that AEW Collision is broadcasting from Athens, GA tomorrow - about an hour from Atlanta - there may be issues for AEW talents getting in for the taping if they are not already in town.

We are told on a broader scope, given Atlanta is such a big hub city for airlines (especially Delta) this could even lead to a ripple effect for WWE talents flying home from tonight's Smackdown taping in Portland, Oregon via red-eye flights as well.
