The majority of the WWE/Wrestling fanbase consider this story as arguably being the best storyline in pro wresting history

Its clear to me that HHH and creative have taken the MCU approach to storytelling with all characters and events “in universe” are all connected in some way

IMO Roman Reigns is the “anchor being” in this current universe/era he may not be the “main character” all the time but everything in this current era revolves around him and specifically the “Tribal Chief” character

I also look at the Seth Rollins betrayl that broke up The Shield as an “anchor event”

Like Bruce Waynes parents being murdered

Peter Parker’s uncle Ben being killed, etc

Also the way that everything everybody does actually MATTERS…no more vacuum stories actions have consequences…immediately or later down the road

Just wanted to discuss the storyline and its nuances and the overall state of WWE storytelling
 
MCU comparison is kinda accurate.

I mean if you look past their heel demeanor...Drew and KO have a legit point when speaking about the BL. I would include Seth...but Seth was the one who created the Roman Reigns monster. Says a lot about creative and how good of a job they've done. B/c they're got folks forgetting all the havoc the BL caused on that roster.

Fans being oblivious to the fact that Drew and KO got legit and factual reasons to feel the way they do.
 
And it was so perfect that Seth did it and not Dean because he had to leave and become moxley
 
It would be good for a pop, but I do think Mox is better in AEW....

He wasn't taken seriously in WWE which is a shame bcuz I thought he was the stand out in the shield.

It was like Seth was the daredevil. Roman was the muscle. And Mox was the charismatic leader with the highest ceiling

It went downhill for Dean after that disappointing ass match with Brock at Wrestlemania 32. He won the title later that year but that shit was so forgettable and not as big a deal as it should have been. While I think him coming back would be huge and he’d be treated more as a main event player now, him being in AEW makes sense for him at this point.
 
Mox works best outside WWE. I have no desire to see him in WWE with a water downed version just because Roman and Rollins are there and I have no desire to do another Sheild reunion. That ship should be left off where it was and the last reunion was the perfect finale.

I think the way WWE approaches thier characters and storylines now…Mox would do just fine. I dont think they would water him down at all.

Dean coming back as an agent of chaos fueled by pure rage and jealousy

Rage for Seth and Jealousy for Roman

I really think HHH would do it justice

You seen his character on AEW consistently? WWE aint touching that Moxley in the slightest. Lol like yeah they could give him a little edge but that aint touching what he doing now. Bringing him back to WWE just because kinda kills what he built up and succeeded as like becoming the face and heart and soul of AEW outside Omega.

Ima just be 100 Moxley works best far away from WWE and way more entertaining to watch no need to kill that momentum for a WWE rerun.

Yeah Mox is fine where he at. AEW gives him that freedom to be him. I dont think WWE is ready to have this version of Mox on their roster. And if they did, I think they would water him down some.

Yeah they would have to curb a bit of the violent stuff…but with this move to Netflix…

I dont think it would be too far off.

I do agree he is balling in AEW right tho
 
Can we finally admit The Rock is a cancer to this story?

He took all the heat off of him vs Cody or Roman last night.

It's almost like I said from the jump, he keeps forcing himself in and making shit cringed.

I dunno, it all felt like it was ment to be a lil disingenuous. Either that or Rock just really ain’t about to be apart of shit and just mugged it up for the Netflix brass and media. It might still be something there but it leaves us questioning a lot of shit. Maybe that was the plan but who knows.
