FEATURED NBA Ratings Drastically Down This Year, Every Other Sports League Ratings Is Up

test
The old guard of players is gone. The 3pt era has ruined the NBA, and ruined so many records. Lebron is also not very likeable, point blank. I used to follow the NBA daily, but I really don't haven't watched it much at all in years. The artistry of the game which was the main draw of the NBA is gone and replaced with 40 threes.

Yea. Im 44 i grew up on the NBA. mids 90s to early 2000s.

I stopped watching at the end of the warriors with KD title run.

Shit jus got boring to watch.

Every nba gm is basically a 3 pt shooting contest.

About 25 years ago, the NBA was too physical. To the fact that you would get so many games at the half, it would be like 38 to 40. That was because all teams start that they could sign a Michael Jordan like player, let him play hero ball, and then they’d win. Michael Jordan Was the only player that really could do that consistently, because his game was so charismatic, other players wanted to be like him and teams wanted to have their own personal Jordan. They realizes that they couldn’t let the game be that physical, and that’s why Steve Nash as well as Mike Dantoni with the seven seconds or less offense was revolutionary. It’s why Steve Nash won those MVP awards, it wasn’t because he was truly the best, it was because they were showing you. This is what they wanted the game to keep looking like moving

I think we’re seeing the same thing on the other side in terms of three-point shooting. You’re never gonna stop people from shooting threes, but where the game got messed up for real? These analytic nerds telling you that mid rage jumpers don’t mean anything, as well as these moving screens, poor defense, and soft referees. Everybody wanted to be like Mike, now you could be like Stefan if you’re great enough. Winning actuality? The reason why Stephen Curry is his greatest as he is, is because his father put him under an apprenticeship and he was made to be the player that he is. has elite level hand coordination. Probably to the level of an accurate boxer like Floyd. Damien is nowhere as close or as good as Steph, then you have Trae Young. So it’s rare for you to be able to do it consistently, everybody else is just trying to be a copycat. They need to put more of an emphasis on post-ups and try to figure out a way to balance the game like they did 20 years ago

So how many examples should I have used for it to be ok with you? I didn't say that he was the only one that did it. I said that the fact that a player could do what he does and still be considered top tier says a lot about the league. My criticism wasn't really with him. It was with the overall quality of the game. Ya'll just felt the need to grab your swords and shields for him.

What did I make up? You can go look the numbers for yourself. A criticism of a man isn't false just because you love that man with all your heart and soul. That's why ya'll are fanboys. Ya'll can't even acknowledge demonstrable fact. You have to fight everything.

Or maybe your example just wasn't the best one. You pointed out an issue then used somebody who isn't the best representation of said issue when there were plenty of other examples you could've used. If your criticism was the overall quality of the game then there's way worse offenders than Bron

Firstly, Its a marketing issue

Mainstream media can't survive without talking about LA, LeBron and Bronny and to a lesser extent, Steph and the Warriors
At some point they have to truly usher in a new era. Tatum balls out almost every night and gets no praise. SGA, Ant, Cade,

The GOAT debate is tired when we have so many current and up and coming players who deserve praise and admiration

NBAtv is abysmal, nba league pass is abysmal.

The pundits keep pushing the narrative that the league is trash so casual fans run with it too

Another talking point is load management. It's pushed that players just want to sit out games when it's an entire staff dedicated to keeping players in peak performance

Also greed. It's too many games. NFL is king because we only get to see certain matchups once a season which leads to fan engagement

This game should’ve been scheduled on TNT or ABC from the get go. The two top teams record wise from last season.

When LeBron was with the Heat, both Heat/Lakers games were split on TNT and ESPN/ABC the first year. That was basically a regular thing for the whole 4 years LeBron was a Miami Heat

Not sure why that wasn’t the case for OKC/BOS

It’s LeBron vs Kobe and the most popular NBA team the Lakers. They need to market more players and teams. It can’t all be about a set certain amount of players

But Silver is worried about the all star game

Nobody checking for Shai. He got game, but he’s not a draw.

NBA has only been popular when you had big personalities and big rivalries. The NBA need to let the big personalities shine again and promote rivalries.

Start forcing the stars to play defense on one another instead of acting like the NBA has an offense and defense like the NFL.

People care when you feature these players.

Pains me to say it but the Nba needs more niggas like draymond. Ignorance sells. League got too clean. Theres no drama or tension. Let these niggas talk their shit and start throwing hands for a little bit and it's back up. 🤷🏿‍♂️
Nah, NBA needs more Russel Westbrooks and Pat Beverley’s and Lance Stephenson’s. People that have passion for the game and big personalities.

Right now that’s Edwards, Morant, and that’s about it.

I'm not even this big ass LeBron fan like you keep claiming. You called him one of the poster boys of Load Management when thats far from the truth and you couldnt prove it so there was no reason to continue going back and forth. Only fools argue all day
:js4:

So argue your "facts" with yourself
