What Product Is A Scam That Everyone Buys Into?

Subscription based software. We no longer own the software we buy. The same goes for movies and music but I'm more pissed on the software. Gone are the days of paying a flat fee for that new video editing software and holding onto it for a couple of years before upgrading. There are very few companies that let you buy out right. You pay more with subscription base than you do with a flat fee

And there is nothing we can do about it outside of not buying

The only alternative is Open Source, but some of that software ain't quite "there" yet but still very functional.

That said, I moved from Photoshop to The Gimp years ago and haven't looked back. My photo editing is minimal and it has the tools I need. PS is more advanced, but for what I do, Gimp works out just fine.

You can still buy MS Office, which I'm surprised to learn and pissed off about at the same time. I pay $200 a year for my O365 subscription and Office 2021 runs about $250. The subscription also hosts my email so there's that, but still it shouldn't cost that damn much.

I use CyberLink for my video editing. I dont use it enough to subscribe for a year so I just subscribe for when I need it and then cancel.

Yeah, I saw MS Office can be bought but I needed their online service. I needed to use MS Word when I'm not at home for what I'm working on.

The whole reason why I refuse to use a newer MPC is the software is because they're pushing a subscription model for the software. You can buy it for like $200 but it's only that one version and nothing additional after the purchase.

A lot of companies have gone in that direction for music software. Meanwhile I got synth and fx plugins I copped back in the late 90's/early 00's that still work just fine.

Body wash

I had to stop buying it because I went through bottles so quick
Stop buying the expensive stuff, I use to buy strictly ivory but it got to expensive. I started buying bodywash on Amazon in the gallon bottles , 4 gallons at a time . I'm now buying the suave brand which is the cheapest I can find at walmart.i hate the fruity fragrance stuff

Internet over 100mbps if they don’t have a family.

If it’s just you, you don’t need more than 100mbps

Because the additional speed isn’t for a faster internet, it’s for a larger bucket of use.

The average modem prioritizes gaming consoles and pcs and then splits the difference with every thing else.

So one person with up to 5 smart devices, has 50mbps to be split between the 5

And your average gaming consoles only use 15 mbps at a consistent level.

And the left over bandwidth is for good latency

The only reason to have anything beyond 100 is if you have a family or download large digital data files like digital games.

Having a gig internet and it only being you that use it consistently. Is like having a huge pool of drinking water, with one 8 once cup. You can only consume what you need and there’s way more than you could ever possibly use.

And 5G is a scam due to its high frequency, it has a hard time penetrating walls, due to its high frequency, it can’t travel far, so the only place that it’s really of good use is in dense metropolitan areas outside. And then there, the amount of devices using the internet causes such congestion that it’s slow and inefficient.
