So let’s be real then, it wasn’t about economy and immigration. Maybe it was about a bad candidate, but why was that candidate bad? It wasn’t her economic or immigration policies because she’s objectively better on those. Tariffs and mass deportations, if they happen, will be objectively terrible.
All that BS about people feeling better how the economy was Trump in office. People were on lockdown of course folks had more money in their pocket. We weren't spending it.

Mark Cuban gave the most logical answer about how we got into inflation. Oil prices were too low so the oil companies asked Trump to talk to Putin and MBS to slow production. They did and gas prices and everything else started going up. Then the pandemic hit and it escalated quickly.

Trump inherited great economy from Obama then bungled the pandemic. He didn’t create a great economy.

Now he’ll ride the coattails of Biden’s recovery after Covid and take all of the credit again.

Most people in the country felt the country wasn't going in the right direction. Hard to imagine how the incumbent party could win with people feeling that way
This is exactly it. Picking the VP was a bad choice, especially one who's been a horrible politician her whole career.

But people shouldn't let the DNC and media blame the voters. The blame goes to the Democrat leadership and media who lied and protected Biden during the primaries. They should have had a legit process and a candidate who had 2 years to run as opposed to 100 days.

But it was about those things. Pretty sure the polls showed those were two things consistently high up on what people cared about.

One of the issues is you keep blaming Trump for the covid economy. Presidents don't control disasters. On top of that, while he was bad and deserves blame, Biden continued along the same path and made it worse. Lock downs went on way too long, destroyed small businesses, and fucked a lot of people. Most people seem to have recognized that fact which is why they trust him more on the economy. As for the tariffs, Trump had them in place from his first term and Biden kept a lot of them. Again, that was information people had. So saying tariffs are a bad idea was an easy counter with "well Biden kept them in place".

You saying without Trump but he's not going anywhere when his 4 years are up, he's still going to be part of politics in the republican base with his cult
He’ll be 83 when he leaves office. And I don’t think he’s going to have a great presidency.

There are a lot of serious issues that need to be tackled and he’s just not going to be up to the task. He had it easy in 2016 and the first major crisis that came up he bungled it. Now he has to immediately work on big issues.

Plus he’ll just make some dumb ass moves because he’ll be surrounded by sycophants.

There will be buyers remorse by the end of his presidency, just like it was in 2020.

This part. ☝🏿

I always scratch my head when someone says the economy was better under Trump....I be sitting there like didn't we have to deal with covid.

I do want to know what the plan is now for people who wanted democrats to lose to send a message about giving more to black people.

You got what you wanted, now what?

I don’t think the message you were trying to send was received. The message you tried to send was sent by Latinos and received loud and clear. All I’ve been hearing is how Latinos showed up.

Dems offered you niggas the LEAST, because they already knew they could count on you no matter what… you showed up overwhelmingly, loud and proud for them and for WHAT?!

We do all the heavy lifting for everybody else’s “rights” and they still said fuck yall niggas.

Never forget Spanish is a WHITE EUROPEAN LANGUAGE… most of them motherfuckers is blood of the conquistadors and they showed you lol

Lockdowns were under Trump. And the pandemic could have been handled a lot better if we had a leader who wasn’t wishy washy.

The tariffs Biden kept were strategic. Trump is proposing an across the board tariff. And his plan for tariffs on Mexico is going to fuck up a lot of US businesses and raise prices. Labor in Mexico is a lot lower than in the US so moving that production here is going to raise prices. It’s simple economics.

Every presidential race is about who people find more likable and/or relatable

Sometimes policy drives those sentiments but often it doesn’t

Been yelling this for the longest and yet black folks still follow behind these folks, then wanna act all surprised how these other groups do what they wanna do and don't move all silly like black votes do..

Oh it was those Latinos smh, I been told silly niggas that she wasn't going to get their vote or anybody else votes for that matter, not even black folks, many black folks wasn't fucking with her and stay home, voted for the couch or other candidates.

Don't be shocked.

Stop voting with your eyes closed and start voting with your mind and understanding that the most high gave you.

They don't move like that in their real life, nobody gives energy to something or something who doesn't show them love, in any other sector of life we chastise folks who do that except Voting.

Not me, you'z a fool for having that energy. Now you're the scared ones "ole what is about to happen next" lol, smh. Love your love ones is all I can tell you

Like I said, Trump was bad on covid and Biden was arguably worse. We don't need to get into it again but the mandates and vaccine enforcement. The lies and misinformation from the government. Trump was wishy washy, Biden was a tyrant. And had to double check the lock down timeline. It was Cali and Oregon who carried lock downs into 2021 so that isn't directly on Biden.

I think you are missing my point. It is how people perceive these policies. People thought they were better off under Trumps first term (pre covid) than they were under Biden.

Word.

But not really.

Yea Trump names called but Trump also comes with change. On some vote for me, I'll make the country more white and more Christian.

That there is what the people voted for.

He was giving head to the mic on stage and mfers didn't care. Cause he excited them. He gave them hope. He told them look around, women and minorities and gays are taking over and I'll take it back to when either you as a man, you as a caucasian, or you as a Christian were in charge.

Now for us that's dark as fuck. But for 72 million people thats change from the status quo and hope.

Again I'm not saying to agree with Bernies policies, I personally never liked the guy, but his shit was different. He was talking about over night changes to health care, taxing the rich, a CEO tax, etc.

That change was exciting to people. If that shit was nurtured instead of destroyed by the Democratic party, one of Bernies young deciples could have ran this time and in a platform of extreme change.

Instead Harris ran on a platform of the same old same old shit.

This the social media age. Policies need to excite the people. The Dems suck at politics and havent been able to figure that out

You right...I honestly feel Harris approach was more the same just the other way.. in the end

White males and latinos(not the ones who voted against trump)

Doomed Those who wanted Harris in. Sorry I can't deal w a fool who screams immigrants are eating your pets, "they" are killing your babies too late in their trimester. And only tried to caused an iInsurrection 4 years ago. Ha ha shit is crazy to me.
This nig doesn't care about the country.

Sorry to all the Dems on here. I tried. I gave her the vote for yall and everyone else. Never bowed to this dude. Our whole family voted blue…and we roll deep.

I will say this, when it up comes to her campaign I think Harris ran as decent a campaign as she knew how considering the short 3 months she had to make it happen. I gave her support and I believed in her character, but unfortunately she didn’t have a very sympathetic audience with everyone else. Let’s be real, it wasn’t about policy. It’s not because she isn’t smart and not because she wasn’t truthful. I think She just wasn’t admired as much by everyone. that’s too bad.
Tough crowd.

I was going to say something about her not speaking off the cuff as much and giving too many scripted answers, but I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad thing. And I understand the reasoning for it. I just think it doesn’t lend much in building credibility or trust.

Anyways, is there a dating lesson in here somewhere? This country basically remind me of how a woman willingly choose to go with a dude that treats them bad and that abuse them simply because to them at least THAT dude seems more believable. They rather believe them than the guy that is genuinely good for them, who even looks good and everything, since they assume he’s lame. So she’s less likely to trust and believe in the good guy. I think that’s the dynamic at play here. lol.
